Our Mission
Crazy by Chiari is dedicated to bridging the communication gap in neurosurgery. We advocate equally for patients navigating their treatment journey and the neurosurgeons dedicated to providing that care. Our goal is to foster mutual understanding, clinical accuracy, and empathetic communication between these two groups.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Social Media & Communications Ambassador to act as the digital voice of our mission. In this role, you will help us build a bridge between the clinical world and the patient community. You will take our educational YouTube content and translate it into engaging, accurate, and professional social media assets across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, ensuring that the voices of both patients and surgeons are represented with clarity and respect.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate Understanding: Repurpose our YouTube content into short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) that respect the medical expertise of our neurosurgeon partners while addressing the real-world needs and questions of patients.
- Balance the Narrative: Ensure our social media presence serves as a neutral, high-trust space where surgical advancements are shared alongside the lived experiences of those they treat.
- Uphold Professional Standards: Ensure all content is medically accurate and professional. You are the final set of eyes, ensuring our messaging remains a credible resource for both physicians and families.
- Maintain Consistent Advocacy: Manage our posting calendar to ensure a steady stream of information that keeps our community connected, informed, and aligned.
Who You Are
- A "Bilingual" Communicator: You can speak the language of professional healthcare advocacy and the language of patient support.
- A Precision-Focused Creator: You understand that for this mission, accuracy is not just a preference—it's the core of our credibility. You take pride in being factually correct.
- A Neutral Advocate: You are capable of maintaining a supportive tone that honors the patient's struggle while also highlighting the vital work of the surgeon.
- Reliable: You are self-motivated and understand that both patients and surgeons rely on our consistency to stay informed.
Why Join Us?
- Shape the Future of Patient-Provider Relations: Your work directly impacts how patients view their care and how surgeons communicate their expertise.
- Grow Your Impact: Build a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to manage high-stakes, professional communications for a specialized non-profit.
- Join a Two-Way Advocacy Mission: Help us prove that when patients and surgeons understand one another, outcomes improve for everyone.
We estimate this role will take about 5–8 hours per week. Because we want to respect your time, we emphasize batch-working and have a library of approved content ready to go. We are looking for someone who can commit to this consistent flow so our community always has a reliable resource to turn to.
