About Us
Proner & Proner is a plaintiffs' personal injury law firm in Midtown Manhattan with more than 35 years of experience fighting for injured people. We handle construction accident and New York Labor Law cases, motor vehicle collisions, and premises liability matters throughout New York City, Long Island, Westchester, and Connecticut. Our results include a $36.4 million construction accident verdict.
We are a small, hands on office where your work is visible and your ideas get heard. We are looking for someone who can help injured people take the first step toward getting help, and who can tell the story of what this firm does to a wider audience.
What You Will Do
Social media and content (roughly half the role)
  • Plan, write, film, and edit short form video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Build and maintain a monthly content calendar covering case results, client education, personal injury law explainers, community events, and firm culture
  • Write captions, hooks, and copy that sound like real people talking, not like a law firm brochure
  • Coordinate with our attorneys to turn case wins and legal developments into content that a non-lawyer can understand
  • Capture photo and video around the office, at events, and on location
  • Track performance (reach, engagement, follower growth, inbound leads from social) and report on what is working
  • Coordinate with our outside SEO and paid search vendor so that organic social supports the broader marketing effort
  • Support our motorcycle rights and community outreach content, including event coverage
Client intake (roughly half the role)
  • Answer incoming calls, web form submissions, chat inquiries, and social media messages from prospective clients
  • Conduct compassionate, thorough intake interviews and accurately record the facts of the incident, injuries, treatment, and insurance information in our case management system
  • Screen inquiries against firm criteria and escalate promising matters to an attorney promptly
  • Follow up persistently with prospective clients who have not yet signed, and send and track retainer agreements
  • Refer out or politely decline matters outside our practice areas
  • Maintain intake records and produce weekly reports on lead sources and conversion
What We Are Looking For
  • 2 or more years of experience in social media content creation, digital marketing, customer service, call center, sales, or legal intake. Strong candidates come from many backgrounds and we will consider a standout applicant with less experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Your writing needs to be clean, warm, and clear.
  • Comfort on camera and behind it. You should be able to shoot and edit a vertical video on your phone and make it look good.
  • Working knowledge of CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or comparable editing and design tools
  • Genuine empathy. Many of the people who call us are in pain, frightened, and calling a law firm for the first time in their lives. How you make them feel on that first call matters more than anything else in this job.
  • Organization and follow through. Leads that do not get called back are leads that go to another firm.
  • Comfort with case management and CRM software. Experience with a legal specific platform is a plus.
  • Discretion. You will handle confidential client information and must maintain strict confidentiality.
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience at a personal injury or plaintiffs' side law firm
  • Conversational Spanish
  • Photography, graphic design, or motion graphics skills
  • Experience with paid social or working alongside an SEO agency
Why Work Here
  • Direct access to the firm's principal attorney and real input into how we present ourselves
  • A role where you see the connection between your work and a real person getting help
  • [Benefits: health insurance, paid time off, 401(k), transit benefits, etc.]
  • [Bonus structure]
How to Apply
Submit your resume along with a brief cover note and, if you have them, links to social media accounts, videos, or campaigns you created or managed. Portfolio links carry more weight with us than a cover letter.
