Position Overview:The Social Media Content Creator’s primary purpose is to support the University's Marketing & Communications Department by capturing high-quality photography and videography that depicts campus life and events. This role will cover events that the Digital Content Creator is unable to attend due to outside-of-working time conflict or assist as a second shooter during large events that require additional photo and video coverage. As a student position, this role also provides a valuable learning opportunity for students interested in photography, videography, and marketing.  

 

Essential Duties:

  • Capture high-quality photographs at university events, campus landmarks, classrooms, student activities, and other assigned locations.
  • Create short-form video content of university events, activities, and campus life.
  • Use software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or Canva to retouch, resize, and enhance images to meet the university's standards.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to understand the photo and video requirements for each project. This may include attending brainstorming sessions or receiving creative direction.     

Work Experience:

  • 2-3 Years: Paid or unpaid photography experience (primarily portrait, event, or travel photography) preferred.​
  • 1-2 Years: Content creation experience.
To be eligible to be a CSP student employee, one must:
  • Be enrolled and registered as a CSP student (PSEO students are not eligible).  
  • Have a United States social security number.*
  • Have proper identification as determined by Form I-9.
  • Be in good standing with CSP academic requirements and student accounts.
  • Have declared a major at CSP.
  • For summer employment, priority will be given to the student employees who are enrolled and registered in summer courses.
