At Gracent, helping children diagnosed with autism and other developmental needs is at the center of all we do. Our providers specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Neuropsychology, and Mental Health services. We use evidence-based therapies, provide compassionate care, and pride ourselves on clinical excellence and innovation. The children we serve are at the center of what we do and are our #1 priority.

About the Role:

We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media and Content Marketing Coordinator to join our team. At the heart of this role you'll plan our social calendars, create and publish content across platforms, and spend regular time in our centers capturing the authentic, everyday moments that bring our mission to life. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves this work and gets excited about a great Reel, stays on top of platform trends, and knows how to translate what's working on social into content that resonates with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Beyond social, you'll craft engaging, informative, and empathetic content across our digital and print channels and be directly involved in broader marketing projects. As a Social Media and Content Marketing Coordinator at Gracent, you will play a key role in driving our mission forward by connecting with our audience and raising awareness about our services.

This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Marketing. This is a hybrid role: you'll work remotely most days, with travel to our centers about once per week to build relationships with our teams and capture content on-site. Candidates should be centrally located to our Chicagoland centers to make regular visits practical.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, build, and manage our social media content calendars across platforms, from ideation through publishing and performance review.
  • Stay on top of social media trends, platform changes, and emerging formats, and bring fresh ideas for how Gracent can show up in ways that feel current and authentic.
  • Visit our centers regularly (about once per week) to build relationships with center teams and capture photo and video content, real moments of connection, play, and progress.
  • Partner with center leaders and providers to make content gathering easy and comfortable, coaching teams on what makes great content and ensuring proper media consent is in place for every child and family featured.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with our multiple brands' objectives and brand voices.
  • Produce high-quality content for a range of platforms including our websites, blogs, social media accounts, newsletters, brochures, and flyers.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to create informative and supportive resources for families dealing with autism and developmental challenges.
  • Use storytelling to highlight success stories, case studies, and the impact of our services on the lives of children and their families.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute campaigns, ensuring consistency in messaging across all marketing materials.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and lead generation, and analyze content performance metrics to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Assist in managing the editorial calendar to ensure timely publication of content.
  • Engage with our community by responding to comments and messages in a tone that reflects our brand's supportive nature.
  • Assist with planning in-person company and community events for employees and families.
  • Contribute to other marketing projects and initiatives as needed.

You're excited about this opportunity because…

  • You have a passion to work for a company whose mission is to help children with developmental needs
  • Creating content for social media is genuinely your thing. You're the person who spots a trend early and already has an idea for how to use it
  • You love being where the action is. You'd rather capture a real moment in one of our centers than stage a stock photo
  • You are innovative and want to be part of change
  • You care to listen deeply and communicate openly
  • You take ownership, execute, and deliver on commitments
  • You want the opportunity to grow with the company and have an impact from day 1

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in content creation, marketing, communications, or a related area.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media accounts for a brand, including planning content calendars, creating short-form video, and publishing across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • A demonstrated pulse on social media trends and platform best practices, with examples of translating trends into brand-appropriate content.
  • Comfortable shooting and editing photo and video on-site. You can capture great content with a phone and know how to make it shine.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Experience in creating content for a variety of audiences and channels.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing tactics, such as SEO, digital advertising, and social media marketing.
  • Ability to research and understand the needs and interests of our target audiences.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media management tools, and content analytics tools.
  • A genuine interest in and sensitivity to the needs of children with developmental challenges and their families, including an understanding of privacy and media-consent considerations in a healthcare setting.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Centrally located to our Chicagoland centers with reliable transportation and the ability to travel to centers about once per week.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and communication tools for remote/hybrid work.

Our benefits:

  • Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary along with a quarterly bonus plan.
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Traditional PPO, HSA, and HMO plans available to all full-time employees.
  • 401(k) with Company Match: Pre- and post-tax 401(k) plans with up to 4% company match.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Benefit from flexible scheduling and paid time off for full-time employees to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
  • Team Building: Join a culture of collaboration and camaraderie. Participate in monthly social events with your team to build strong professional relationships.

We understand that joining a team is not just about the role; it's about the people, the support, and the culture. Our interview process is carefully crafted to ensure you thoroughly understand who we are and the support system in place for your success. You'll discuss this role with multiple leaders in our organization and meet the incredible team you could be working with. We can't wait to get to know you!
