Social Media Coordinator (Contractor I)

About the Role

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to support Food Network's social media team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career social media professional, recent graduate, or someone with 1–5 years of experience who is passionate about food, digital content, and social media trends.

We're looking for someone who lives and breathes TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging social platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized, eager to learn, and constantly thinking about new ways to engage audiences through creative social content.

What You'll Do

  • Support the social media strategy and execution for Food Network programming and talent.
  • Create engaging social content including copy, short-form videos, highlight reels, and social-first creative assets.
  • Assist in promoting shows, chefs, and culinary content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and Pinterest.
  • Monitor social trends, platform updates, and emerging audience behaviors to identify new engagement opportunities.
  • Help grow and engage online communities through thoughtful community management and audience interaction.
  • Review content with a social-first mindset and identify creative ways to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Schedule and publish content with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support ongoing social campaigns and programming initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1–5 years of social media, digital content, communications, marketing, journalism, or related experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Reels, and current social media trends.
  • Experience creating content for social platforms.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Passion for food, culinary culture, recipes, chefs, and food-focused content.
  • Creative thinker who enjoys brainstorming new ways to engage audiences.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
