PURPOSE: The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing monitoring and promotion of information and events on applicable social media mediums and developing a strategy to increase Calvary Church’s presence on social media.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

· Daily, weekly, and monthly review of all social media platforms to ensure accurate information sharing.

  • Attend every service and events as needed, collect photo and video.

  • Edit photos from events and services

  • Populate and organize smug mug

  • Attend stage meetings before and after services

· Promotion of events via social media marketing to extend the reach and impact on the Calvary Church community. Including facebook events when requested.

· Post resources on social media including, but not limited, sermon recordings, message quotes, images, articles, etc. across Tik Tok, Instagram, X, Facebook for both Skip and Calvary.

· Facilitate social media conversations by beginning, continuing, and stimulating desired topics; following up promptly to comments and messages.

· Develop an ongoing social media strategy that is dynamic and flexible, always aiming to support the church’s vision, culture, and ministry. Including current world events when requested.

· Convey a sense of community and build following based on valuation content and mutual sharing.

  • Stay updated and current on Social Media algorithmic changes, updates, and trends. Study trajectory across all platforms.

· Alert supervisor of any sensitive issues that may require monitoring, reporting or intervention.

· Review notes from Saturday night’s teaching and provide scripting to Skip Heitzig’s Facebook and Instagram on Sundays.

· Provide training and mentorship to the photography ministry and volunteers. Review, edit, and curate slideshow. Schedule photographers at the end of every month for the following month.

  • Update social media handbook as needed and ensure all accurate information is present including graphics and best practices.

· Provide training and mentorship to ministry social media posters.

· Other tasks as assigned.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

· Alignment with Calvary Albuquerque’s Statement of Faith required.

· Ability to work independently or under supervision.

· Strong sense of creativity in the realization and parameters of the existing mission and vision.

· Experience with leveraging social media technologies such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, blogs and working knowledge of web analytics software.

· Proficiency in using personal computers and various office software packages including Windows Office and Photoshop.

· Experience with photography and an eye for the art form.

· A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to create, compose and edit written and electronic materials.

High level of attention to details.

Calvary Church must be your home church and you must attend one weekend service per week.
