Social Media Producer

Summary

Entravision is seeking a creative, digitally driven Social Media Producer who lives and breathes social media. This role is ideal for someone who understands how news audiences consume content across platforms and knows how to turn breaking news, live events, and original journalism into engaging, shareable content.

Essential Functions

• Produce, publish, and optimize content across all major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
• Write compelling, error-free copy in native Spanish tailored for each platform and audience.
• Create engaging graphics, short-form videos, captions, thumbnails, and social-first storytelling.
• Identify trending conversations and develop creative ways to incorporate them into news coverage.
• Collaborate closely with producers, reporters, anchors, editors, and graphic designers to maximize the reach of editorial content.
• Monitor social media performance and audience engagement, making real-time adjustments when needed.
• Support live coverage of breaking news, special events, and major national stories.
• Help grow audience engagement through innovative social strategies and platform best practices.
• Stay current on digital trends, platform updates, and emerging storytelling formats.

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience producing content for social media, digital newsrooms, or media organizations.
• Native-level Spanish writing and communication skills are required.
• Strong understanding of social media algorithms, audience behavior, and platform-specific best practices.
• Experience creating vertical video, graphics, and social-first content.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, breaking news environment with tight deadlines.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as news demands.
• Experience working in a Spanish-language newsroom or national media organization.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, or similar editing tools.
• Knowledge of analytics tools and social performance metrics.
