Social Media Student Assistant (Fall 2026- Spring 2027)

Are you passionate about social media and storytelling? Do you love capturing student life through photos, videos, and short-form content? The UAS Creative Agency Team is looking for a Social Media Student Assistant to help bring the student perspective to UAS's official social media channels. You'll play a key role in documenting campus life, covering events, and highlighting the people, places, and programs that make UAS unique.
What You'll Do:
Capture photos and videos at events and around campus that reflect student life and the UAS experience
Contribute content ideas and help brainstorm creative ways to engage fellow students
Conduct short interviews with students and staff to feature their stories
Create Reels and short-form videos, leveraging trending formats and authentic voice
Represent UAS in a friendly and professional way-both in-person and online
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Is familiar with Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms
Enjoys photography, videography, or is eager to learn
Can work independently, manage their time, and meet deadlines
Pays close attention to detail and can follow guidelines
Communicates clearly and respectfully

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a UAS student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours throughout the employment period. Must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA throughout the employment period.
Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Juneau. This is a non-represented, part-time (5 hrs/week), student position. Hourly rate of $13.11.
