WHAT YOULL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Social Science Research Analyst, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

  • Developing and conducting studies, evaluations, and analyses of the organizations programs to ensure that quantitative and qualitative data are effectively gathered, analyzed, and used to understand program outputs, outcomes, and overall efficiency.
  • Implementing, examining, and collecting monitoring data across the organizational programs and the production of an annual monitoring analysis report, highlighting key findings and the impact of grantee services on client outcomes.
  • Preparing briefings, presenting research, analysis and evaluation findings to the program staff, leadership and stakeholders.
  • Reviews program documentation, incident reports, monitoring data, and other source materials to identify trends, evaluate program performance, and support corrective actions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Basic Requirement

You must possess one of the items listed below:

A. Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

OR

B. Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

OR

C. Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

AND

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

  • Collecting and analyzing program data to check compliance with policies, procedures, and performance standards for child welfare or unaccompanied children programs.
  • Developing and using standardized monitoring tools and quality assurance methods to ensure programs follow federal regulations and organizational policies.
  • Creating reports, recommendations, and data tracking systems (such as dashboards) to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
