Social Services/LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

Required Certifications

• LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) – can be completed onsite during orientation

Work Schedule

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
• Sunday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Saturday and Monday off

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the level of care for patients dealing with depression, psychosis, substance use, and other significant mental illnesses.
• Provide biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and short-term counseling.
• Link patients with resources and plan transitions of care for patients and their families/significant others of all ages, in any patient care setting.
• Offer psycho-education and facilitate support groups as needed.
• Consult on psychosocial aspects of care as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Serve as a liaison to community programs and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on discharge planning.
• Support patients in adjusting to illness and facilitate goals of care conversations with patients and families.
• May provide education to staff and other hospital departments and participate on committees.
