Momentum PTN is hiring a Social Skills and Community Integration Assistant (SSCI) to assist leaders in running small groups of children ages 4-12 years, both on site and in the community. As an SSCI Assistant, you will assist with reaching individual developmental goals, while building appropriate social and community skills. Social Skills & Community Integration Assistant Essential Responsibilities:
Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment
Respects and promotes the right of individuals
Promotes independence, dignity, and fulfillments
Participates in social skills and community integration training
Assists and supports the group leader with activities throughout the program, both on site and in the community
Takes supplies to off-site sessions (such as snacks, first aid kits, park bags, etc.) per the needs of the group
Participates in set-up and clean-up of group program
Knows, follows, and upholds Momentum’s policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs
Social Skills & Community Integration Assistant Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent; required
Enrolled in or completion of bachelor's degree; required
Basic knowledge of child development and familiarity with MPTN programs and services.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; required
Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish; preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
