The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE Social Studies Teacher at Onalaska High School beginning the 2026-2027 school year.
JOB GOAL: To develop in each pupil an appreciation of American ideals and cultural heritage; to develop proficiency in the use of social studies inquiry skills and concepts; to motivate each pupil to understand and exercise his rights, privileges and responsibilities as a citizen; to develop understanding of the geographical, historical, cultural, and political factors which influence the development of world regions; to encourage pupils to develop sound opinions based on study of facts concerning operation of political and economic systems

Qualifications:
Possess a valid Wisconsin Teaching License for grades 9-12 in the assigned area of teaching.
Possess a minimum of a B.S./B.A. degree with a major in the assigned area of teaching.
Prior teaching experience preferred but not required
Such qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate
