School Social Worker Position
Navra is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to support students in a K–12 school setting in Brooklyn Park, MN. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students navigate academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and family-related challenges while collaborating with educators and school teams.

Position Highlights:

• Support students across a variety of grade levels and needs
• Caseload and placement based on candidate experience and school needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education teams, related service providers, students, and families
• Provide individual and small-group support in a school environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling and social-emotional support to students
• Assess student needs and develop appropriate interventions and support strategies
• Support students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, family, or academic challenges
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of student goals and services
• Collaborate with special education teams and multidisciplinary staff to support student success
• Provide crisis intervention and help students develop effective coping and problem-solving skills
• Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate case notes and records
• Conduct social-emotional assessments and provide recommendations based on student needs
• Develop and implement social-emotional and behavioral interventions
• Communicate and collaborate with parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, and community providers
• Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources
• Support positive school climate, student engagement, attendance, and successful educational outcomes
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all school, district, and professional standards

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
• Current Minnesota School Social Worker licensure/credential preferred or required based on assignment
• Experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting preferred
• Experience supporting students with disabilities, behavioral needs, or social-emotional challenges preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary school team
• Commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students
