    Description

    Social Worker / Counselor (LMSW, LCSW, LGPC, or LCPC) - Full-Time Overnight

    We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker / Counselor to provide professional counseling services and psychosocial support to patients and families navigating complex health and life challenges. This autonomous clinical role is ideal for a compassionate professional who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment and is passionate about helping individuals achieve emotional well-being and resilience.

    As an integral member of the care team, you will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide counseling services, and connect patients and families with essential resources that support optimal functioning and adjustment during times of illness and transition.

    Schedule

    Full-Time | 80 Hours Biweekly

    Week 1: Sunday-Wednesday, 9:30 PM - 7:30 AM

    Week 2: Monday-Thursday, 9:30 PM - 7:30 AM

    • Overnight position
    • Biweekly Sunday rotation
    • Compensation may vary based on licensure level at the time of hire.

    What You'll Do

    • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and mental health assessments.
    • Provide individual counseling, crisis intervention, and emotional support to patients and families.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
    • Assist patients in coping with illness, hospitalization, life changes, and recovery.
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care goals.
    • Identify community resources and coordinate referrals to appropriate social service agencies.
    • Advocate for patients and families while promoting positive outcomes and continuity of care.
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.

    Experience

    • One year of experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred.

    Licensure

    Must hold one of the following Maryland licenses, at minimum graduate-level licensure:

    • LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)
    • LCSW (Licensed Certified Social Worker)
    • LGPC (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor)
    • LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Strong knowledge of counseling principles, therapeutic techniques, and professional standards of practice.
    • Ability to complete psychosocial assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
    • Understanding of community organizations, social services, and behavioral health resources.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
    • Ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and educational backgrounds.
    • Strong critical thinking, documentation, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
