Sheppard Pratt is an inpatient psychiatric hospital in Towson serving adults and adolescents.

The General Adult Unit at Sheppard Pratt is a 19-bed unit that treats adult patients with a variety of mood disorders. Patients are treated under the expert care of experienced psychiatrists, nursing, and other clinical staff.

As a Social Worker you:

• Perform a full range of clinical social work services in support of the patient's primary therapist/treatment team.
• Interview patients and families to assess psychosocial problems, develop treatment plans, and monitor and evaluate patient progress.
• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions for patients and their families in order to assist in resolving personal and environmental problems that prevent them from achieving their highest level of psychosocial functioning.
• Participate as a member of the treatment team.
• Develop and assist in the implementation of discharge and aftercare plans.

Requires:

• Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
• Current Maryland State Social Work / Counseling license (LCSW-C, LMSW, LCPC, LGPC), at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
• 2+ years of experience in a hospital or similar clinical setting.
