Job Summary:

Child and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Services (CAIOS) is expanding! CAIOS was initially launched in 2020 and remains one of the only intensive outpatient programs for teenagers and their families in Upstate NY. The CAIOS program provides evidence-based treatment for high acuity adolescents (ages 12 to 18) and their families. The program is expanding to provide intensive outpatient services to adolescents and families struggling with eating disorders (EDIOP). The EDIOP will be an intensive, short-term program that utilizes evidence-based treatments (DBT, ACT and FBT) to support adolescents and their families on the path to full recovery by preparing each adolescent to navigate the challenges of life free of the eating disorder.

In this role, the Clinician will:

• Provide high-quality care to adolescents struggling with eating disorders within the Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (EDIOP). • Work with high-acuity adolescents in the Child & Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (CAIOS). • Deliver a full range of therapeutic services, including: • Individual therapy • Family therapy • Group therapy • Parent coaching • Consult and coordinate care with schools and outside providers as needed. • Participate in yearly hospital-required performance evaluations. • Maintain required Continuing Education (CE) credits. • Collaborate closely with the Adolescent Pediatric Department. • Work within a multidisciplinary, multi-department team that includes: • Psychiatrists • Psychologists • Clinical Social Workers • Pediatricians • Nutritionists • Nursing staff

Experience with DBT, ACT, and FBT is preferred. Training and supervision are available for clinicians developing these skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MSW from a Social Work program accredited by the Council on Social Work (CSWE); • M.S.W., L.M.S.W., L.C.S.W. or eligible, 3 years relevant post-masters experience (preferably in a hospital and/or healthcare environment) required. • New M.S.W. graduates who are L.M.S.W. eligible will be considered for appointment to entry-level (SL2) positions at a commensurate salary after obtaining a Limited Permit. Incumbent must obtain L.M.S.W. within 12 months of receipt of the limited permit.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is preferred. • Outpatient experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Work Days: Monday - Friday, days/evenings
