ESY Social Worker Dates: June 29-July 30 or July 6-July 30
The ESY Social Worker will provide social-emotional and behavioral support to students participating in the Extended School Year program. The role includes direct services consultation with teachers and families and assistance with crisis intervention as needed. The Social Worker will help create a safe supportive environment that promotes student success and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities • Provide individual or small-group social-emotional support aligned with IEP goals • Implement evidence-based SEL behavioral and therapeutic strategies • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers • Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary • Communicate with families regarding student needs and progress • Maintain accurate documentation and data collection
Qualifications • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) • Current state certification 071 in School Social Work • Experience working with school-aged children (ESY or special education experience preferred) • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
