Description
A health services network in New York City is looking to add a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to their Behavioral Health team in Manhattan. This role provides clinical social work support within a behavioral health setting, including psychosocial assessment, mental health screening, disposition planning, and care coordination for patients with complex behavioral health needs.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: In-person, hospital
Responsibilities:
- Conduct mental health screening interviews and psychosocial assessments for patients
- Document assessments, screening results, and clinical updates in the electronic medical record
- Develop disposition plans and provide appropriate mental health and social service referrals
- Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination with mental health and medical providers
- Provide crisis intervention, benefits counseling, and case presentation support as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in a mental health clinic or hospital setting
- Master's degree in Social Work
- Active New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license
- Experience with psychosocial assessments, mental health screening, and risk assessment
Desired Skills:
- Experience with PTSD or trauma-informed care
- Experience supporting patients with persistent mental and medica
