The University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurology (ADRC) is seeking a qualified Social Worker - MSW. This position will provide research social work support and cognitive/ functional assessments to the NIA-funded University of of Pittsburgh Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and clinical trials program in the Department of Neurology. The person will conduct psychosocial and/or cognitive assessments and research evaluations of subjects/families/study partners for ADRC programs, participate in consensus conferences and organize family diagnostic meetings as required. Conduct independent global rating evaluations for federal and industry-sponsored drug studies; serve as liaison to research consortia; work with recruitment coordinators to develop a recruitment network; serve as a resource to research participants/families/study partners and health professionals and trainees. Participate in research participant /family support groups and assist with community outreach programs. Provide education on ADRC brain donation program and assist with coordination of cases as needed. Provide mentorship and training to social work students and trainees. Education: Master's degree in Social Work or comparable Master's degree.
