A community-based behavioral health organization is seeking a Master Social Worker in Queens, NY to provide field-based crisis intervention and support services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. This role focuses on in-home assessments, crisis counseling, case management, and coordinated community support.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Setting: Field-based
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-person intakes and home visits throughout the assigned area
- Assess service needs and provide crisis intervention support
- Deliver case management, behavioral support, and crisis counseling services
- Facilitate in-person parent support groups
- Collaborate with families, providers, and community agencies to support care planning and resource connections
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Previous experience in a Social Work role/setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
