Software Analyst

We are working with a well-established, privately held software company in Irvine that is looking to add a Data Analyst to their team. This role sits at the intersection of traditional data work and AI-powered product development. The right candidate will use AI agent harnesses as a core part of their daily workflow, not as a novelty, and will be able to evaluate and correct what those tools produce rather than deploy output blindly.

Desired Skills

• 2+ years of professional experience with strong SQL skills including writing, maintaining, and querying relational databases. SQL fluency is a baseline requirement for this role
• Python proficiency or hands-on experience in a transferable language such as C, C#, or JavaScript, with the ability to read, structure, and critique code rather than simply generate it
• Demonstrated experience building something with an AI agent harness such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or a comparable tool, whether in a professional setting or through self-directed projects. A GitHub portfolio showing that work is a strong plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus

This is a hybrid role based in Irvine. The work spans AI feature development including conversational agents and data pipelines, as well as core compensation data work, with room to grow in either direction depending on where the right candidate shines. Candidates with no hands-on AI tool experience are not a fit for this role.
