Hiring Manager's Note:
The role requires 3 to 5 years of experience and a strong background in Smart Sheets development, Python, HTML, and SQL.
Experience with GCP, Oracle, and Teradata is considered advantageous for the position.
Prefers candidates available in the Eastern Time Zone, as West Coast hours are not suitable for the team.
The position is remote-eligible and requires a self-sufficient individual who does not need technical mentorship.
 
Program Scope and Strategic Function
The NFOD team manages a new PMO program covering approximately 2,000 physical Client's infrastructure sites.
The developer will own the end-to-end tool lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data integration, and system iteration.
Emphasized the need for a candidate who can translate complex data into user-friendly interfaces for business stakeholders.
Primary work involves using Smart Sheets for program tracking and developing HTML reports for data visualization.
 
Interview Process
The interview process will be video-based and focus on behavioral questions, past project descriptions, and workflow strategies.
The hiring managers will not require a formal coding test but requested that candidates share a portfolio of tangible technical outputs if available.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Software Application Developer/Analyst to support network infrastructure planning and reporting. This role involves querying large enterprise databases, building data pipelines, producing interactive web-based reports, maintaining and advancing Smartsheet workflows, and documenting business processes. You will collaborate with a small team and an AI assistant (Claude) to accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and matching across multiple enterprise data sources.
• Query Oracle, Teradata, and Google BigQuery databases to pull, reconcile, and validate large datasets.
• Build and maintain interactive HTML reports and internal web tools (Flask-based) with sortable/filterable tables.
• Develop and maintain Smartsheet sheets, dashboards, automations, and cross-sheet formulas.
• Design and document business process flows, including intake-to-delivery workflows, data lineage diagrams, and decision trees using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent.
• Support ad-hoc data investigations by identifying mismatches, gaps, and anomalies across systems.

Qualifications:

• Intermediate+ Python skills, including experience with pandas, database connectors, and data processing scripts (2+ years).
• Proficiency in Smartsheet, including sheet building, cross-sheet formulas, dashboards, and automations (2+ years).
• Intermediate+ SQL skills, with experience in Oracle, Teradata, or BigQuery; understanding of joins, aggregations, and NULL handling (3+ years).
• Ability to document processes, translating complex multi-system workflows into clear process flow diagrams and written procedures (2+ years).
• Experience with HTML/JavaScript, including reading, editing, and extending existing report templates (DataTables, basic JS) (2+ years).
• Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose practical, well-designed solutions to ambiguous business questions.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with BPMN or structured process notation.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data in industries such as telecom, utilities, or logistics.
• Google BigQuery / GCP familiarity.
• Experience working alongside AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude).

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Smartsheet certification is a plus.

When a process is unclear or undocumented, you can map it out to ensure clarity for future users. Pay Range: $50-55/hr. on a W2 Basis.
