Work model: 50% telecommuting, 50% Office per week in Albany, NY
--- Project Description ---
This position will support cloud support services, such as cloud
integration technical assistance, cloud-based analytic and security
programs, and training for Dept personnel on the use of cloud-based
tools.
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Specific duties will include: designing webservices and applications
including researching and documenting technical designs, programming
solutions, and customer technical support; developing unit tests and
testing processes autonomously to ensure conformity of the application
with business requirements and implement change management;
managing the release management process, including the testing,
promoting and releasing of applications through the development
environment; and leading code critique sessions and overseeing the
development of technical design documentation.
2. Other related duties
as assigned.
3. The architect will also lead database design/development
and user-interface enhancements.
--- Required Qualifications ---
" 84 months of experience in the design, implementation and deployment of
web applications, single page front end applications, REST backends
" 84 months of experience designing and building cloud native and hybrid
applications in AWS.
" 84 months of experience in design, implementation and deployment of
system-to-system applications using REST APIs, REST Clients, Spring
security
" 60 months of experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Oracle,
Postgres, DynamoDB.
" 60 months of experience in programming public sector government IT
projects
" Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology
from an accredited institution
" 84 months of experience with data processing, ETL and analysis with Python
using libraries Pandas, Numpy
