As an Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing, interpreting, and optimizing the technology systems and data within our client's organization. Your role will involve gathering requirements, analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve business processes and systems. This position requires strong analytical skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Software license forecast and renewals – Build and maintain forward-looking license demand forecasts by publisher/product, aligning consumption trends with business plans and renewal calendars. Proactively coordinate renewal inputs with stakeholders (SAM, Procurement, Finance, and app owners) to support on-time renewals and reduce unplanned spend or compliance exposure.
  • SAM Pro data validation – Validate and reconcile key SAM Pro data sets (installations, usage, entitlements, and software models) to ensure accuracy and completeness for decision-making and audit readiness. Identify discrepancies (e.g., incorrect models, versions, or publisher data) and partner with the ServiceNow/SAM Pro support teams to drive data cleanup and sustained data quality.
  • License positioning (baseline/effective license position) – Support the creation and maintenance of baseline and effective license positions by comparing discovered installations/usage against entitlements and licensing rules. Document findings and recommendations that clarify compliance status, optimization opportunities, and remediation actions for prioritized publishers.
  • Software reclamation – Execute license reclamation and re-harvesting activities by identifying unused/underutilized software and coordinating removal or reassignment in line with policy and operational processes. Leverage termination signals and eligibility reporting to reclaim licenses quickly, improving utilization and reducing renewal quantities where appropriate.
  • License positioning (optimization/renewal-ready positioning) – Provide renewal-ready positioning that translates validated SAM Pro data into actionable renewal guidance (what to renew, reduce, reallocate, or true-up), including risks and assumptions. Partner with stakeholders to ensure the license position is clearly communicated and defensible during vendor engagements and internal audit response activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance system performance, security, and user experience.
  • Document technical procedures, solutions, and best practices for future reference.
  • Work closely with other IT professionals, business units, and external vendors to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and analysis results effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, contributing your analytical expertise to achieve project goals.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in data analysis, technical analysis, and security analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  •  0-3 years’ experience with data analysis, system analysis, and/or security analysis tools and methodologies.
  •  Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and security tools.
  •  Familiarity with database management, networking, and information security principles.
  • Conceptual understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and system information.
