We're looking for an Software Configuration Control Specialist who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our research teams. We're looking for people who innovate and love solving hard problems! You will work hard, have fun, and of course, benefit our customers everywhere! This position requires a candidate that can operate in an ambiguous environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in multiple engineering disciplines. This role will interface closely with System Engineers, Hardware Development Engineers, and Software Development Engineers across a broad range of technical areas to enable software configuration management mechanisms. This person will be required to articulate when gaps are identified, and propose solutions quickly. The ideal candidate will have a balance of breadth across engineering disciplines, depth and expertise in select areas, and practical real-life experience with configuration management of complex systems. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience - 3+ years of experience in software configuration management/control - Experience working within Aerospace Regulatory Environments Preferred Qualifications - MS degree in computer science or electrical engineering - A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences - Experience building frameworks for creating complex applications with simplified tools. - Experience with DO-178C Software Configuration Management Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
