- Client Overview: The Coalition is a flagship studio within Xbox Game Studios, known for the critically acclaimed Gears of War series. They are a diverse and talented team working together to push the limits of Microsoft's entertainment platform and devices.
- Role Summary: As a Mid-Level Automation Software Engineer, you will have a direct impact on the next generation of games and experiences built by The Coalition. You will work closely with the Engine Leads, QA Lead, and Producers to create and deploy various Automated Tests, while also driving the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the automated testing infrastructure.
4. What are the key responsibilities?
- Develop and deploy various Automated Tests for game development projects
- Collaborate with the Engine Leads, QA Lead, and Producers to optimize the automated testing infrastructure for AAA scale distributed development
- Ensure thorough and efficient test automation tools through effective communication with peers and partners
- Contribute to the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the automated testing infrastructure
- Utilize languages such as C# and Python to develop tools and services
5. What experience are we looking for to drive success?
- MUST-Have Skills and Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in DevOps services
- Experience developing services using web-based technologies
- Demonstrated cross-team collaboration skills
- Experience with developing tools using languages such as C# and Python
- Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with the Unreal Engine or similar game engines
- Experience with Azure or similar Cloud Services
