Position Summary

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to provide production support, software development, and system enhancements for enterprise business applications. This role will serve as the first point of contact for production application issues while collaborating with engineering teams to troubleshoot, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, JavaScript, AWS cloud technologies, and database systems, along with the ability to debug complex production issues, develop monitoring and automation solutions, and support large-scale enterprise applications. This position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for enterprise software applications by troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving application issues.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable software applications and enterprise solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to implement bug fixes, new features, and system enhancements.
• Design and implement monitoring, automation, and alerting solutions to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Perform SQL queries and database analysis to investigate production issues and validate application data.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based applications and services using AWS technologies.
• Support software deployments, release activities, and post-production validation.
• Improve operational processes through automation and continuous process improvement.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, system documentation, and operational procedures.
• Monitor application health, analyze system metrics, and proactively identify opportunities for performance improvements.
• Participate in troubleshooting complex technical issues across distributed enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions for large-scale enterprise environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development supporting enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving production application issues.
• Experience developing automation and monitoring solutions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms such as PeopleSoft.
• Experience with C/C++, SQL, Perl, HTML, UNIX/Linux, or related technologies.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise software systems.
• Experience with cloud-native application development and distributed systems.
• Experience building automation tools and operational support solutions.
• Experience working in high-volume production support environments.

Education/Certification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will also be considered.
