Are you an experienced software developer looking to make a meaningful impact? The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking a talented individual to contribute to our mission of improving health and human services for Texans. Our hybrid work model offers the perfect blend of on-site collaboration and telework flexibility in the lively city of Austin, TX.

As part of our dynamic team, you will be researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs. You'll test and evaluate new programs while collaborating closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts. Your role will involve:

• Designing, coding, and modifying complex computer programs using Angular, C#, ASP.net, and Oracle Database.
• Performing necessary testing, including generating test data, writing test scripts, and debugging.
• Working with trainers, technical support staff, and network specialists to update existing systems or implement new ones.
• Analyzing requirements for new applications or enhancements.
• Providing development status updates to the team leader or project manager.
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of systems documentation.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience in computer programming, analysis, and development of complex business processes and system solutions.
• Proficiency in coding, testing, and debugging programs.
• Strong logical processing and program design skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High level of interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Knowledge of IT industry trends and ability to relate them to organizational needs.
• Understanding of architectural concepts and emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodology.

Preferences

• Familiarity with the company's information architecture and management methodologies.
• Knowledge of existing and planned software technology and architecture components.
