    Work type:  Full time, 100% onsite — NO remote work. Local candidates only.
    Client: Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)
    Start Date: August 1, 2026
    Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Without sponsorship.

    AtWork Personnel is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Developer for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). This is a 100% onsite contract supporting enterprise application development, modernization, and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep experience building scalable web applications using .NET Core, React, SQL Server, Oracle, Azure, and Power BI.

    Responsibilities
    • Design, develop, and support enterprise applications using .NET Core, C#, React JS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
    • Build and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries
    • Migrate legacy Oracle data into modern SQL Server environments
    • Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
    • Build and deploy cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure
    • Troubleshoot production issues across the full technology stack
    • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git and DevOps tools
    • Participate in Agile development, sprint planning, testing, and deployments
    • Create technical documentation and mentor junior developers
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions

    Required Qualifications
    • 11+ years of full stack development experience
    • Expert-level experience with:
      • .NET Core / C#
      • React JS
      • SQL Server
      • Oracle data migration
      • Power BI
      • Microsoft Azure
      • Git, CI/CD, and DevOps
    • Experience modernizing legacy applications
    • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards
    • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience supporting Texas state agencies or other government/public sector organizations
    • Experience working in healthcare or regulated environments
    • Agile/Scrum experience
    • Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
