Overview

System One is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our client’s internal development team and help build the tools and systems that power our operations. In this role, you'll work on diverse projects that directly impact our organization's efficiency and capabilities, from data management platforms to AI-powered automation solutions. Your responsibilities will include identifying new opportunities to enhance workflows through software tools, maintaining documentation for existing applications, and providing technical support to resolve issues. You will work daily toward the goal of empowering our client’s operations with innovative software solutions, recognizing your work is critical to the company’s mission of safe and reliable nuclear power. A successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, awareness, and adaptability working in a diverse team with frequently shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build safe, efficient, and reliable software systems including web-based applications for managing critical business data
• Develop intelligent systems integrating AI capabilities with existing source systems and workflows
• Design solutions to streamline and automate internal processes, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy
• Adhere to SDLC and internal project management procedures based on nuclear and international standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discuss product development and identify process improvements
• Work closely with subject matter experts to gather insights and domain knowledge for effective solutions
• Optimize software workflows based on user feedback and latest technological developments
• Evaluate the efficiency of internal processes using analysis tools such as Excel and specialized software
• Ensure efficient use of tools in TerraPower’s Azure environment, including DevOps tooling

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying web applications
• Proficiency with React.js, JavaScript, Python, C#, and Node.js
• Experience with Azure Web Apps and Azure Functions
• Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience in UI/UX engineering
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts such as containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud networking in Azure
• Ability to quickly learn modern software development architectures
• Experience with RESTful APIs and database design
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with quick feedback implementation
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Azure AI Search, and Azure AI Foundry is a plus
• Experience in regulated industries (energy, financial services, healthcare) recommended
• Knowledge of API and AI/ML integration, compliance, and audit readiness preferred
