Cumberland Christian School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Developer to join our team. This is a Full-Time position based in Califon, New Jersey, United States. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the software systems that support our students, faculty, and administrative staff, helping to enhance the educational experience for the entire school community.
Responsibilities
* Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality software applications to meet the school's operational and educational needs.
* Collaborate with teachers, administrative staff, and leadership to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
* Maintain and improve existing school software, including the Student Information System, websites, and internal portals.
* Manage databases, ensuring data security, integrity, and accessibility.
* Provide technical support and troubleshoot software issues for staff and faculty.
* Develop clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all software projects.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and propose solutions that could benefit the school's mission.
* Ensure all software solutions are secure and comply with data protection regulations.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Proven professional experience in a software development role.
* Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end development languages and frameworks.
* Solid experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
* A self-motivated and organised individual capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Desirable Attributes:
* Experience working within an educational or non-profit organisation.
* Familiarity with educational technology (EdTech) or content management systems.
