The position will be responsible for development of software for satellite command, control and telemetry monitoring. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop front-end and back-end software for web applications in a Linux RHEL environmentExperience with golang/c++Knowledge of build systems.Knowledge of Kubernetes.Participate in UI design for web applicationsPerform System and Software level Integration and TestDesign and implement software for a large-scale command and control systemCreate and execute integration and system tests and document test proceduresTroubleshoot software system issuesWork in a dynamic, fast paced, & sometimes pressured environment REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSMust have an active DoD Secret security clearance Must be a U.S. citizenBachelor's Degree in relevant field (i.e., Computer Science, Software Engineer, Information Technology)Five (5) to ten (10) years of software engineering/development experience in a Linux environmentGood understanding of distributed systems.Experience developing Web applications, Golang applications or Python applications.Basic understanding of build systems and containerization PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSProficiency developing and testing software in a Linux environmentExperience documenting test results for corrective actionsExcellent troubleshooting skillsDesire to work in the space industry developing satellite command and control systems for test and operations Experience using software configuration management tools (examples: ClearCase, GIT, Mercurial, etc.)Experience interacting with databases (examples: Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, etc.)EXPERIENCE WRITING SCRIPTS (EXAMPLES: SHELL SCRIPTING, PERL, ETC.)
