Software Developer

SRC, Inc. is seeking a talented Intermediate Software Developer to join our Applications Engineering team. In this full‑stack development role, you'll support the complete software development lifecycle-analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance-of internal business applications. You'll work in critical domains such as Configuration Management/Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Cost & Pricing systems, building scalable, secure applications that streamline operations and support enterprise growth. This role combines hands-on development with regular collaboration with internal business partners to translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain business‑critical applications using C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL, and other languages
• Build and enhance web applications and services using ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, and other technologies
• Analyze system requirements and collaborate with internal users to define functional and technical specifications
• Translate business requirements into clear, scalable technical designs
• Partner with senior developers to grow expertise in platform architecture, software design patterns, and domain knowledge
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues requiring code fixes or configuration updates
• Collaborate across IT and business teams on application integration, data management, and technical debt reduction
• Support PLM/Configuration Management and Cost & Pricing systems, with opportunities to contribute to additional business domains
• Recommend modern technologies and best practices to improve system performance, reliability, and user experience
• Work with software vendors to resolve technical issues and optimize system capabilities
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities

What You'll Bring

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience developing software solutions
• Proficiency with Visual Studio or comparable IDEs
• Strong hands‑on experience with C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL
• Experience developing full‑stack web applications and web services using ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core/MVC and Entity Framework
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment

Ways to Stand Out

• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps
• Experience with React, Node.js, and front-end libraries such as jQuery or Bootstrap
• Familiarity with build tools such as NPM, Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like NUnit or Jest
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, CI/CD, and version control workflows

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $93,000 to $110,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
