Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer II to design, develop, and support complex enterprise applications. This role involves leading technical initiatives, troubleshooting critical issues, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in full software development, lifecycle management, enterprise systems, and production support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications and enhancements.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, project scope, and deliverables.

  • Develop technical specifications, architecture designs, and detailed documentation.

  • Review, analyze, and optimize existing software systems to improve performance and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through root cause analysis.

  • Ensure successful execution of testing strategies, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.

  • Guide to data architecture and integration strategies.

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Evaluate new tools, technologies, and programming languages for business applicability.

  • Follow ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Three (3) years of related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in software development and application support.

  • Strong experience in designing and developing enterprise-level applications.

  • Experience with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and ITIL frameworks.

  • Experience with Ellucian Banner ERP.

  • Experience with Laserfiche document management system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and data architecture.
