Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer II to design, develop, and support complex enterprise applications. This role involves leading technical initiatives, troubleshooting critical issues, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in full software development, lifecycle management, enterprise systems, and production support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications and enhancements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, project scope, and deliverables.
Develop technical specifications, architecture designs, and detailed documentation.
Review, analyze, and optimize existing software systems to improve performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through root cause analysis.
Ensure successful execution of testing strategies, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Guide to data architecture and integration strategies.
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Evaluate new tools, technologies, and programming languages for business applicability.
Follow ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three (3) years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in software development and application support.
Strong experience in designing and developing enterprise-level applications.
Experience with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and ITIL frameworks.
Experience with Ellucian Banner ERP.
Experience with Laserfiche document management system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and data architecture.
