ServiceNow Developer (HAM / ITAM)

Work Style: Hybrid (limited onsite; otherwise telework)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with strong Hardware Asset Management (HAM) expertise to design, implement, and maintain IT Asset Management solutions. This role focuses on CMDB architecture, discovery, integrations, and asset lifecycle workflows while collaborating closely with IT operations and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement ServiceNow HAM and ITAM solutions.
• Configure Discovery, Service Mapping, and auto?discovery workflows.
• Build and maintain CMDB architecture, CI relationships, and reconciliation rules.
• Develop ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and Flow Designer solutions.
• Implement asset lifecycle processes from procurement through retirement.
• Integrate ServiceNow with third?party tools using APIs and Integration Hub.
• Perform CMDB health checks, data quality audits, and normalization activities.
• Deliver dashboards and reporting using ServiceNow analytics tools.
• Apply IT governance and asset management best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and support Agile delivery efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of ServiceNow development and administration experience.
• 3+ years of hands?on experience with HAM and ITAM modules.
• Strong proficiency in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB.
• Advanced scripting experience (JavaScript, GlideScript, business rules, script includes, ACLs).
• Experience with Integration Hub, APIs, Import Sets, and Transform Maps.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States and ability to obtain required access authorization.

Preferred Skills

• Additional ServiceNow certifications.
• Experience with Software Asset Management (SAM).
• Experience with cloud asset discovery.
• Exposure to CI/CD practices for ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of network discovery and vulnerability integration.
