Job Title: Senior .NET Backend Engineer / Architect (Azure Cloud Focus)

Duration: 03 Months Contract with possible extension

Responsibilities:

Responsible for development of web application systems for Online Banking and Money Movement. Maintain development activities that support internet banking development, ensuring high quality work. Understanding current .NET technological trends. Demonstrable detailed understanding of design principles and methods, technology and standards. Interact with business users and Business Analysts to understand the requirements and create design documents. Work with project Managers and development leads to complete assigned tasks and with expected quality and on time. Experience working with geographically distributed teams and vendor resources. Skills: Knowledge of authoring tools and human interface. Must be experienced with performance aspects of application development. Knowledge of DBMSs, development methodology, standards, design tools and specification representation. ClientP internet or other certifications like Win 95/98/NT/Unix, Java Script, VB Script, PERL, XML, HTML, SQL Server, Oracle, Progress, MS Front Page, Cold Fusion, Visual Interdev, ActiveX and Java Applets, ISAPI/NSAPI or MS IIS. Knowledge of web design principles and standards, firewall and network security and Internet database connectivity.

Required Experience

10 years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, and .NET 8/10

Deep hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure

Strong experience with Azure services including:

Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

Azure Service Bus

Azure Storage

Azure Functions

Azure Key Vault

Azure Monitor / Application Insights

Azure API Management

Azure SQL Database

Proven experience building scalable, distributed microservices architectures (not monolithic applications)

Strong understanding of cloud-native and event-driven architectures

Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting applications in AKS/Kubernetes

Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration

Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform , Bicep , or ARM templates

Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, security, and private connectivity concepts

Experience working in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments

Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions

Experience automating build, deployment, testing, and release processes

Strong API design, backend architecture, and service integration skills

Solid experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning

Strong understanding of resiliency patterns including retries, circuit breakers, failover, and fault tolerance

Experience supporting high-volume, transaction-intensive distributed systems

Strong production support and troubleshooting skills across multiple environments

Experience implementing security best practices including OAuth, JWT, Managed Identities, Key Vault, and secrets management

Preferred Experience

Hands-on Kafka experience including producer/consumer design, retries, dead-letter queues, and event troubleshooting

Experience with distributed tracing and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Experience designing schemas for event-driven systems, including idempotency, ordering, and schema evolution

Experience with performance engineering, scalability testing, and bottleneck analysis

Experience leading technical design sessions and mentoring engineers

Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating workloads to Azure

Senior engineer who can independently own solutions from architecture through production support

Strong Azure practitioner, not just someone familiar with Azure concepts

Comfortable making architecture decisions, troubleshooting complex production issues, and driving cloud modernization initiatives

Able to work closely with business, architecture, and platform teams while maintaining hands-on development responsibilities

Key Client: This role requires a developer with strong real-world Azure implementation experience , particularly with AKS, Azure DevOps, cloud-native microservices, observability, security, and production support , not just .NET development experience
