Software Developer – Performance Testing (Hybrid)

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Software Developer specializing in Performance and Load Testing to support OTDA application initiatives for NYS ITS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, maintaining, and analyzing performance and load tests for enterprise applications in a Microsoft and mainframe environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and executing load and performance tests for new and existing application features
• Developing test plans, performance test strategies, and automated load test scripts
• Performing manual and automated testing for application functionality and performance validation
• Using LoadRunner/Performance Center, SOAP UI, ReadyAPI, and LoadUI for performance and web service testing
• Creating and maintaining test data, test cases, and performance benchmarks
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define testing scope, requirements, and expected benchmarks
• Troubleshooting application, middleware, and database performance issues
• Supporting development teams with performance analysis and optimization recommendations
• Participating in requirements gathering and SDLC activities
• Mentoring and cross-training team members on testing processes and tools

Required Experience:

• 7%2B years of experience with LoadRunner/Performance Center for performance and load testing
• 7%2B years of experience planning, executing, and evaluating performance testing initiatives
• 7%2B years of experience collaborating with stakeholders on performance testing scope and benchmarks
• 4%2B years of experience developing application test plans
• 2%2B years of experience with SOAP UI or ReadyAPI for web service testing
• 3%2B years of experience with LoadUI for load testing web services
• Experience supporting large Human Services systems and enterprise applications
