CTG is seeking to fill a Software Developer position for our client.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career software professional looking to build hands-on development experience while working alongside experienced engineers. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to grow their skills in a collaborative software development environment.
Location: Piscataway, NJ
Duration: 12 Months
Position Overview:
- Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
- Write, enhance, and troubleshoot code while following development best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on application improvements and new features.
- Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and technical discussions.
- Debug software issues and assist with identifying solutions.
- Continuously learn new programming languages, tools, and development methodologies.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Understanding of basic software development concepts and coding practices.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and approach problems logically.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Internship, academic project, or personal project experience in software development.
- Exposure to web applications, APIs, cloud technologies, or modern development frameworks.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
- Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance processes.
Experience:
- Entry-level or early-career software development experience preferred.
- Candidates with academic, internship, or project-based development experience are encouraged to apply.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent technical experience may be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $75,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
