Description:

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Developer position for our client.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career software professional looking to build hands-on development experience while working alongside experienced engineers. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to grow their skills in a collaborative software development environment.

 

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Duration: 12 Months

 

Position Overview:

  • Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Write, enhance, and troubleshoot code while following development best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on application improvements and new features.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and technical discussions.
  • Debug software issues and assist with identifying solutions.
  • Continuously learn new programming languages, tools, and development methodologies.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Understanding of basic software development concepts and coding practices.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and approach problems logically.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Internship, academic project, or personal project experience in software development.
  • Exposure to web applications, APIs, cloud technologies, or modern development frameworks.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
  • Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance processes.

Experience:

  • Entry-level or early-career software development experience preferred.
  • Candidates with academic, internship, or project-based development experience are encouraged to apply.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent technical experience may be considered.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $75,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
