Senior Swift Automation Engineer

A leading technology organization is seeking a highly experienced Swift Software Engineer to develop and maintain application automation within an existing Swift-based automation framework. The role focuses on creating reliable, performance-accurate automations from workflow descriptions and application behavior recordings, while continuously improving automation stability as applications evolve.

Pay Range – $85 -$91.37 hourly on W2
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop Swift-based application automation within an existing automation framework.
- Translate textual workflow descriptions and/or application behavior recordings into reliable Swift automation code.
- Automate prescribed application workflows and measure application/system performance as required.
- Automate complete system setup, including application and content installation.
- Automate system takedown, including application and content removal.
- Debug failing automations, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes.
- Update existing automations to accommodate application behavior changes, including new pop-ups, dialogs, UI changes, and workflow modifications.
- Maintain automation reliability, stability, and performance accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to improve automation quality and execution.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 8+ years of professional Swift software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality, production-grade software.
- Strong experience debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining software applications or automation frameworks.
- Experience working with application workflows and evolving software behaviors.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Other qualifications/requirements:
- Strong understanding of software development principles and production-quality coding practices.
- Ability to analyze application behavior and translate workflows into robust automation.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a contract-based engineering environment.
- Ability to work onsite in Beaverton, OR.
Must-Haves:
- 8+ years of professional Swift software development experience.
- Strong record of delivering high-quality, production-grade software.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to develop and maintain reliable Swift-based automation.
- Ability to adapt automation to application/UI behavior changes.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with AI/LLMs to generate, debug, refactor, or assist with production-quality code.
- Experience with application/UI automation frameworks or tooling.
- Experience with computer performance measurement, benchmarking, profiling, and optimization.
- Experience with XCTest, XCUITest, or comparable application automation technologies.
- Experience automating application installation, content deployment, configuration, and system teardown.
- Experience maintaining automation suites across application releases and UI/workflow changes.
