    Description

    The Ads Security organization at Amazon is dedicated to creating innovative technical solutions that detect, assess, and mitigate security risks within Amazon's Advertising businesses. Our vision is to accelerate the development velocity of the Advertising business by ensuring that our products are inherently secure.

    We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to build software security solutions that will enable our partners in Amazon Ads to deliver at the speed of business, and reduce the time they spend securing their products and applications. This is a rare opportunity to join at the early stage of a critical program which would help us build security innovation and automation solutions, capable of securing systems and resources on a massive scale.

    You will be expected to contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing and operations; as well as have end-to-end ownership of several products in Ads Security. You have proven experience in security, big data, and in implementing solutions leveraging AI. A successful candidate has strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven, and deliver high quality results in the face of ambiguity in aa fast paced environment.

    The ideal candidate will work with high levels of ambiguity, and will help find and resolve problems before we are aware that there will be problems. Amazon teams work with a lot of autonomy, which makes it our challenge to develop solutions to keep them developing securely and with the flexibility that enables them to innovate faster.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Drive the design, implementation and deployment of efficient, robust products to deliver access risk lifecycle management capabilities.
    • Adopt an iterative, continuous improvement approach to release and deploy product features.
    • Work in an agile environment, collaborate with peers on designs, technical refinements, code reviews, testing and customer issues.
    • Develop/ adopt testing frameworks and implement test plans to improve code quality and facilitate continuous delivery.
    • Build reusable code patterns including API's, libraries, SDK's etc.
    • Lead design reviews to ensure all software development efforts are tactically aligned.
    • Mentor fellow engineers and drive engineering excellence.
    • End-to-end ownership of several products in Ads Security.
    • Develop next generation products that leverage AI technologies.
    • Perform ad-hoc requests with end-to-end ownership including reporting metrics and narratives, on-call and other duties to support operations.
