Are you interested in jumping into the driver's seat of our sensational FireTV partner products? We are looking for exceptional talent to join as Software Development Engineer in the Fire TV team.

Our charter is to provide customers and partners a compelling, secure, and robust experience with a steady flow of engaging new features throughout the lifetime of a device.

As a member of the team, you will be working with business partners, software development engineers and testers UI/UX designers to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and systems. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. You will learn a variety of cutting-edge technologies, development processes, and develop well-rounded skills such as leadership, and effective project management. You will also mentor junior software development engineers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design and deliver distributed software solutions - Design, develop, implement, test, and document distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services that meet high standards for reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impact - Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and partners to translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, and supportable solutions that integrate well within the overall system architecture
  • Evaluate and recommend technology choices - Assess new and existing software products and tools, providing technical recommendations that balance innovation with maintainability and team productivity
  • Build system infrastructure on AOSP - Develop system infrastructure and features based on AOSP (Android Open Source Project), contributing to the platform"s core capabilities and performance
  • Mentor junior engineers - Guide junior engineers through technical challenges, code reviews, and best practices, helping to raise the technical bar across the team

About the team

FireTV 3P engineering team is chartered to bring enchanting FireTV experiences to third party devices. This is an opportunity to design, develop and own the software that disrupts TV viewing experience and impact billions of viewers and devices.

We are spinning up a greenfield engineering team to build tools and technologies which will redefine the way 3P partners build their TVs on FireTV ecosystem. With exciting roadmap and launches planned ahead. FireTV 3P engineering team will independently own, deliver and support end to end product journey for partners.
