    Job Description

    Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

    Have you wanted an opportunity to develop the software applications and services for an advanced global telecom service? The Leo Customer Engagement Systems team owns all the software and services to manage a customer"s life cycle. Our team owns developing the architecture, solutions & roadmap for managing the customer lifecycle for telecom services; for example identity and account management, subscriber management services, user provisioning, billing and payments, customer and technical support tools, offer management tools, and customer metrics and analytics. As the Software Development Manager you will lead a team of engineers to solve these problems.

    Export Control Requirement

    Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Aid in the design and delivery of Telecom Components, Applications and Services.
    • Work with our peer teams and stakeholders to design suitable software systems and interfaces to fulfill the customer needs.
    • Develop a strategic plan for the growth of the team, both from a software services and organization perspective.
    • Hire & Develop a diverse team of software engineers.
    • Collaborate with your fellow team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Project Leo.
    • Help on-board and mentor new team members.

    A day in the life

    You will work with Product Management and Business Stakeholders on defining the roadmap for Leo"s customer lifecycle. You will own solving this for multiple customer segments and building software that is flexible for many different customers and countries.
