Morton is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a dynamic IT Delivery team focused on building modern, scalable business solutions. This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across teams, and working with modern technologies in an Agile environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack development experience, a growth mindset, and a passion for learning emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise applications and interfaces
Collaborate with Agile teams, architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
Contribute to full-stack application development using modern frameworks and technologies
Support application availability, resiliency, and scalability initiatives
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement efforts
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices
Work with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and containerized environments
Occasionally travel based on business needs
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of software engineering experience
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:
JavaScript
Java
Angular
TypeScript
HTML/CSS
.NET
Python
APIs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modern frameworks such as:
Spring Boot

Bootstrap
Experience developing REST APIs and related technologies:
