Position Overview:
NOW HIRING: Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer (AFC Devices)
Vienna, VA (On-Site) | Full-Time
STraffic America is seeking a Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer to develop and support software for Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) devices used by major transit agencies.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy software
Troubleshoot and resolve software and device issues
Support AFC device installations remotely and on-site
Analyze system logs and data for diagnostics
Perform testing and validation to ensure reliability
Create and update technical documentation
Qualifications
4–5 years of software development experience
Experience with C, C#, and Python
Proficiency with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code
Familiarity with Windows OS and STM32 environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Intermediate conversational Korean preferred
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
TCP/IP and serial communication programming experience
Basic networking knowledge
Embedded systems experience
Travel
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
