Software Engineer — AI & Operational Systems

Diesel Pro Power — Miami, FL (Full-Time, In-Person)

Build Systems That Directly Impact a Real Business

Diesel Pro Power is hiring a Software Engineer to help build the next generation of our operational and technology platform.

This is a high-ownership engineering role focused on building systems that improve how the company operates, scales, and makes decisions.

You will work directly with leadership and operational teams to design software, automation, integrations, and AI-assisted workflows that reduce friction across the business.

This is not a maintenance role inside a large corporate engineering department.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving operational problems through technology and wants meaningful responsibility early.

About Diesel Pro Power

Diesel Pro Power helps customers get critical diesel engine parts fast when downtime matters.

Our customers include fleet operators, marine operators, repair facilities, and mechanics managing equipment failures where speed and accuracy are critical.

Behind the scenes, we operate in a highly operational environment involving commerce, logistics, inventory, customer support, ERP systems, reporting, and real-time decision-making.

We are currently modernizing our operational infrastructure by:

  • replacing core commerce systems

  • building internal operational tools

  • integrating AI-assisted workflows

  • connecting operational data across the business

  • reducing manual work through automation

  • improving reporting and operational visibility

Diesel Pro is a profitable, owner-operated company based in Miami with a long-standing customer base and a strong operational foundation.

Why This Role Is Different

Most engineering roles isolate developers from the real business.

This role is deeply connected to it.

You will work directly with the people operating the company and build systems that materially improve execution, visibility, automation, and customer experience.

You will help shape the operational platform the company runs on.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • enjoys building systems from the ground up

  • likes solving operational problems

  • thrives in high-accountability environments

  • wants meaningful ownership

  • is excited about AI and automation

  • wants to grow alongside the platform they are helping build

What You Will Work On

Your work may include:

  • Backend services and APIs powering commerce and operational systems

  • Internal operational tools and automation workflows

  • Integrations between ERP, CRM, commerce, communications, and reporting systems

  • Data pipelines supporting reporting and AI-assisted workflows

  • Customer-facing functionality on the commerce platform

  • Operational dashboards and reporting infrastructure

  • AI-assisted internal tooling and operational intelligence systems

You will also gain exposure to legacy systems during the transition period, including Magento and terminal-based ERP infrastructure.
