We bring you Tomorrows opportunity today.Volt is immediately hiring a Software Engineerin Austin Texas 78759.As a Software Engineer you will be responsible forJob Overview We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer specializing in LabVIEW and TestStand to design develop and support advanced automated test systems. This role involves working with National Instruments NI platforms PXI systems and test automation frameworks to deliver high-quality scalable solutions for engineering teams and customers.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test software development hardware integration and system validation along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support mission-critical projects including ITAR and DoD environments.Key Responsibilities Providing handoff and direct support of software test applications to customer engineering teams including developing necessary documentation. Developing instrument drivers test sequences and applications using LabVIEW and TestStand for a wide range of NI and third-party test equipment. Interface with our Systems Architects and Electrical Engineering team to provide strategic design implementation guidance to best enable testability of our systems. Interacting with a wide variety of NI customers NI staff external alliance partners and suppliers in support of designing implementing and sustaining custom solutions Defining and implementing system test plans managing milestones and holding reviews to assure systems meet requirements and readiness for deployment Verification of the developed tests to ensure compliance with and coverage of requirements Traveling as needed domestically and abroad in support of project objectivesQualifications & Skills B. S. Degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or other Engineering discipline from an accredited institution. Minimum 5 years of experience developing test software using LabVIEWTestStand Experience developing automated test software using PXI chassis and interfacing with some of the following analog IO cards digital IO cards DMMs oscilloscopes National Instruments switching and signal routing systems data acquisition devices power supplies RF analyzers and RF power sensors.
