Software Engineer - Avionics Display Applications

JOB TITLE: Software Engineer - Avionics Display Applications

ABOUT THE JOB:
This team is responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Displays Apps to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Software Engineering, or related technical area
• 5+ years Software Development experience for avionics
• Experience developing software applications for avionics displays
• Full lifecycle software development experience in accordance with DO-178B/C
• Experience designing software architectures
• Experience with object oriented software design
• Ability to code in C++
• Experience creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
• Experience with safety critical real time operating systems (RTOS)
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
• Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done
• Ability to make autonomous decisions
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional design teams

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with DO-178C
• Experience with DOORS
• Experience with avionics platforms
