As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. BigQuery is a cornerstone of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), an exabyte-scale, fully managed cloud data warehouse experiencing rapid growth. As a differentiator, BigQuery empowers customers with an industry-leading analytics platform, fueling the expansion of GCP.
The BigQuery Metadata team plays a critical role in this success, and we are at the forefront of innovation, delivering metadata management for all managed tables, ensuring accuracy, durability, and resilience through continuous collaboration.
As a Software Engineer, you will join our team, with a specific focus on the physical metadata layer and Iceberg Managed Tables. You will be instrumental in contributing to our mission by designing, developing, and maintaining critical metadata services that power BigQuery"s performance and functionality.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $147000 - $211000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
