Software Engineer - CAD/ CAE

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated software engineer to join our team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining applications in the CAD/CAE domain, utilizing a variety of programming languages and frameworks. This position requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Java full stack to design scalable web applications using microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• 3 years of experience with Angular for creating user-friendly front-end interfaces.
• Experience with SQL/Oracle databases or PostgreSQL.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) development and deployment experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with GitHub or equivalent source control repositories.
• Experience with test-driven development practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when facing unexpected problems.
• Prior work experience in the client's industry.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in Jira.
• Familiarity with development practices such as TDD/BDD.
• Well-versed in design principles such as OOP.
• Experience in AI development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements.
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering software solutions.
• Assess software application requirements and determine the most suitable technology stack.
• Create high-level software architecture designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product owners, designers, and architects.
• Define and implement software test strategies and processes.
• Continuously improve performance and optimize applications.
• Support security practices to safeguard user data.
• Create user-friendly and interactive interfaces.
• Develop and maintain back-end applications like APIs and microservices.
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies to enhance solutions.
