Opportunity Overview

The Teradyne Software Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Software Engineer to focus on the development of software systems for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). As a senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems and applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions for Teradynes next-generation products, including hardware/software integration, system-level development, and performance optimization. This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the semiconductor and automation industries.

• Design, develop, and maintain software components for ATE platforms, including embedded systems, diagnostic tools, and automation frameworks.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and support.

• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

• Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.

• Support internal and external customers with technical troubleshooting and issue resolution.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

• Prepare clear and detailed technical documentation for developed software, system architectures, and processes.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• 3-5+ years of experience in software development.

• Experience designing and implementing high-performing C# and C++ software solutions in Windows and Linux environments.

• Experience implementing software that directly interacts with hardware, including FPGAs and ASICs.

• Familiarity with real-time operating systems, device drivers, and hardware/software interaction.

• Experience debugging system- and board-level modules through software toolsets while partnering closely with hardware engineers.

• Experience designing and implementing large-scale software systems, preferably in a hardware/software integrated environment.

• Strong experience with system-level programming and design verification automation.

• Experience with CI/CD processes, version control, and agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with tools such as Git, Jira, and Polarion for software development and testing.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.

• Exceptional analytical and debugging skills with a proactive approach to resolving complex issues.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Self-directed self-starter.
